What is E3?

E3 is the world's premier trade show for computer and video games and related products. The show is owned by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the U.S. association dedicated to serving the business and public affairs needs of the companies, publishing interactive games for video game consoles, handheld devices, personal computers, and the Internet. Is the show open to the public?

No, E3 is not open to the general public. E3 is a trade event and only professionals from the industry will be allowed to attend. Individuals who are not able to document their direct and current professional affiliation to the interactive entertainment industry are not qualified to attend E3. All E3 attendees are required to show government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) upon request.

When and where is E3 2013?

E3 is scheduled to take place June 11-13, 2013, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The Los Angeles Convention Center is literally a Green Community, both physically and environmentally.

On September 15th, 2008, the Los Angeles Convention Center achieved a historical mark by becoming the 1st Convention Center of age and size in the U.S to be awarded the highly sought after certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

As a Los Angeles landmark, with its towering emerald green facade, it defines the L.A. cityscape and is a devoted advocate of environmental programs. The Los Angeles Convention Center's constant efforts to progressively explore, test, and implement new and innovative Earth-friendly initiatives throughout the 54 acre facility typify it's commitment to environmental stewardship. The Los Angeles Convention Center is underway in developing innovative new programs like thermal storage and creating green space for its community.

What are the requirements for attending E3 2013?

E3 is not open to the general public. You must be part of the interactive entertainment industry in order to attend the show, and you must be able to provide documentation demonstrating your direct and current professional affiliation to this industry. To be considered for registration, two forms of industry ID must accompany your online application. At least one form of industry ID must contain both your name and the name of the company where you work. Incomplete applications will not be processed and the management of E3 reserves the right to deny any applicant admission.

Do you check identification on-site?

Yes. Photo identification is checked on-site. All attendees will need to show a government issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) in order to receive the E3 badge and badge holder. Please come prepared with your identification – no exceptions will be made.

Can I bring a child to the show? Is there an age restriction?

E3 is open to trade only. No one under the age of 17 (including infants) will be admitted. THIS RULE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED. All E3 attendees are required to show government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) upon request to verify age.

I have pre-registered. When will I receive my badge?

New for 2013! E3 attendee badges will NOT be mailed prior to the show. All Attendees must pick up their badge on site at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Confirmed registrants will receive a confirmation email with a bar code when their registration is finalized. Registrants should print the confirmation and bring it to the Los Angeles Convention Center on-site Registration where your barcode will be scanned to receive your printed badge and badge holder. All attendees must present a valid government issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) to pick up your badge/badge holder.

Where can I pick-up my badge?

Attendees may pick up their badge holders at any on-site Badge Holder Pick-up Counter located outside both the South and West Hall Lobbies. Badge Holder Pick-Up Counters at the Los Angeles Convention Center will open on Sunday, June 9th at 1:00pm.

What is the cancellation policy?

All registration fees are non-refundable and registrations are non-transferable.

Is there a "live" person I can contact for registration help?

Where should I park when I arrive at the LACC?

The Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) has 5500 parking spaces with easy public access. The parking fee is $15 during move-in and $20 on show days (subject to change), and does not include in and out privileges. In addition to the LACC parking, there are multiple lots available nearby, including at L.A. Live adjacent to the LACC.

Does E3 2013 provide a schedule builder application for planning meetings during the event?

Yes. If you are a registered and confirmed attendee or exhibitor, you will have complimentary access to the E3 Meeting Application powered by Game Connection. The Meeting Application provides you with direct access to the wide range of companies, products, projects and services that you want to see at E3.
