What should I bring with me to E3 Expo?
Consistent with previous years, media who cannot produce their photo ID at the door to the Media Center will not be permitted to gain entrance into the Media Center under any circumstances.
Who should register as media for E3 Expo 2010?
E3 Expo 2010 media registration is open only to working journalists who are over the age of 17 with news organizations. E3 Expo 2010 is a trade-only event and is not open to the public. No one under the age of 17 will be permitted, including infants. Qualifications of all media outlets will be determined by the E3 Expo 2010 Media Registration staff and that decision is final.
Employees of media outlets who do not work in an editorial capacity will not be qualified for a media badge, such as art directors, district managers, graphic designers, publishers, managers, marketing representatives, presidents, public relations personnel, sales representatives and vice presidents.

I have qualified as media and attended E3 Expo in the past. Do I have to re-register again?
Yes. If you were qualified as media for previous E3 Expo shows, you are not automatically guaranteed a media badge for E3 Expo 2010. You are required to submit new credentials each year to be considered for a media badge.

What are the credential requirements for an E3 Expo 2010 media badge?
Working journalists over the age of 17 that fall under one of the below categories may register for a media badge:
Print Media & Newswire Reporters:To qualify as media, print and newswire journalists must provide:
- A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet's logo, and
- A copy of your driver's license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 will be admitted), and
- A bylined article from your publication written by you and published within the last six months (the copy must clearly show the name of your publication and your byline).
Freelance Journalists:
Freelance writers from unqualified media outlets will not be admitted. In order to qualify as media, we require that you provide:
- A copy of your driver's license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 will be admitted), and
- A letter from a publisher, editor or producer (on their letterhead) stating that you are covering E3 Expo 2010 on assignment, and
- A bylined interactive entertainment industry-related article from your publication (above) written by you and published within the last six months (the copy must clearly show the name of the publication and your byline), and
- If you are a freelance journalist for online media, you must also provide a copy of the Web site's business license or government issued documentation showing the business's federal tax identification number.
Online Reporters:
Web sites must be previously established and updated regularly with original and current interactive entertainment industry news. To qualify as online media, please provide:
- A copy of your driver's license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 will be admitted), and
- A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet's logo, and
- A printed copy of your online publication with your name and title appearing in an editorial capacity, including a bylined interactive entertainment industry-related article from your publication written by you and published within the last six months (the copy must clearly show the name of the publication and your byline), and
- A copy of the Web site's business license or government issued documentation showing the business's federal tax identification number.
Broadcast Journalists & Photographers:
Each member of a broadcast crew must register separately. To qualify as media, please provide:
- A copy of your driver's license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 will be admitted), and
- A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet's logo, and
- A letter from a producer/editor (on company letterhead) stating that you are covering E3 Expo 2010 on assignment.
Industry and Financial Analysts:
Please provide:
- A copy of your driver's license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 will be admitted), and
- A copy of your business card with name, title and company logo, and
- A recent report or bulletin on interactive entertainment with your byline.

If I pre-register for a media badge will it be mailed to me before the show opens?
U.S.-based journalists and analysts who complete their registration by May 3, 2010 will receive their badges in the mail before the show. All journalists and analysts who receive a badge must still go to on-site Media Registration, in Petree Hall, at the Los Angeles Convention Center to pick up a badge holder. International and Canadian badges will not be mailed. International media must pick up their badges and badge holders on site at Media Registration in the Los Angeles Convention Center.
NOTE: All journalists and analysts must present photo identification on-site in order to obtain a badge and/or badge holder.
I am a journalist under age 17. Can I attend E3 Expo 2010?
No. E3 Expo 2010 is a trade-only event, and is not open to the public. No one under the age of 17 is permitted, including infants.
If I submit my media registration information after the May 3, 2010 registration deadline, is it possible to register on-site?
Yes, you may register on-site at E3 Expo 2010. You must bring photo identification and the appropriate credentials detailed above. p>

What facilities are available for media on-site at E3 Expo 2010?
The E3 Expo 2010 Media Center, in Petree Hall, offers convenient support for journalists covering the show free of charge. It features a fully equipped, large working newsroom including:
- Apple and PC computers
- High-speed Internet access and free wireless
- Standard office equipment
- Phones
- Fax machine
- Photocopy machine
- A "News Wall" featuring important exhibitor news and information
- Media-only hospitality suite
